The Challenge
To reverse the trend of decreasing submissions from NGOs each year to Ford’s Conservation & Environmental Grants Programme.

What we did
Whether NGOs were not submitting their applications because they were intimidated by the process or assumed they did not qualify - we didn’t leave it to chance to find out why. Instead of relying on the media to reach out to the NGOs, we took a direct approach to urging NGOs to submit their entries, especially since there was RM 190,000 to give away.

Results
We increased submissions from 84 entries to 109 - that’s close to 30% - through this approach.
